Narendrapur: Bharat ki Gawaye Gandh is a four-part Hindi short story anthology series born out of the immersive Katha Shivir—an annual 5-day writers’ residency held in and around Narendrapur village, Siwan, Bihar. Rooted in the lived experiences and rhythms of rural life, the series captures the fragrance, struggles, and beauty of India’s villages with truth, memory, and imagination. Narendrapur 1 evokes the first essence of soil and community. Featuring contributions from eminent writers like Mamta Kalia, Usha Kiran Khan, Priyamvadd, Vandana Rag, Ranjan Kumar Singh, and Pratyaksha, the series bridges the gap between urban sensibilities and the heart of India’s rural narratives.
