Delhi Public School Patna

Delhi Public School Patna was set up in 1998, currently provides tutelage to over 4,400 students and direct employment to over 340 professionals as teachers, administrative and support staff. It was here that the original seeds of Takshila pedagogics across subjects and class levels were sown. The school is home-ground to the Rural Immersion Programme, a pioneering participatory and explorative tool for developmental education in India.

Delhi Public School Pune

Delhi Public School Pune has been functional since 2003 and enrolls around 4,000 students and close to 300 teaching, administrative and support staff members.at present. The school houses a super effective Automatic Weather Station, the data from which is collected by India Meteorological Department of the city. In addition, the faculty of performing arts is qualified to mentor pupils for Sangeet Visharad in vocals and dance.

Delhi Public School Ludhiana

Delhi Public School Ludhiana began its journey in 2004 and has build up a family of around 200 teaching and non-teaching members who scaffold the learning of over 2,600 students at this time. Endowed with the largest campus among the four schools, this was the first Takshila location to plant a natural forest patch using the Miyawaki technique. It was awarded the Biradari Award by the Centre for Science and Environment for reclamation of a stagnating eutrophic pond at a nearby village into a flourishing water body.

Delhi Public School Coimbatore

Delhi Public School Coimbatore was founded in 2012 and as of now comprises of about 850 students and over 90 professionals involved as faculty, administrative and support staff. The school has been actively deploying action research in enhancing teaching-learning process across all class levels. It also joined hands with the Forest Department to plant a patch of conservation forest in school campus.

Parivartan—Takshila’s Grassroots Movement

Parivartan is Takshila’s Grassroots Movement setup in the Siwan District of Bihar. We work with a community spread across 21 villages to create meaningful interventions and provide opportunities for growth that enables their individual and collective freedom.

Ektara—Takshila’s World of Imagination

Ektara is Takshila’s World of Imagination. Through intensive dialogue and study, we understand what constitutes quality literature for children. We work with writers, illustrators, and graphic artists to publish exquisite books, magazines and other reads for children across all ages and locale.

Ektara publishes under the imprints Jugnoo Prakashan, Mynah & Cheenti, awards annual fellowships to authors and illustrators, and runs Riyaaz Academy for Illustrators in collaboration with Tata Trust.

Arthshila

Arthshila is Takshila’s Collective for the Arts. Born of the vision to provide an inclusive and immersive platform for creating and sharing ideas centred around arts, Arthshila is the coming together of creative and curious minds who believe in the integral role art has to play in society. We facilitate exchange of nuanced thoughts amongst artists and audience.

Arthshila supports and operates multi-arts centers in Ahmedabad, Santiniketan, Goa, Delhi, Patna, and Kochi, along with an art studio in Siwan, Bihar. It also publishes works on literature and the arts.

Takshila is proud to launch PAHAL – its flagship initiative for sports development.

A 70-acre state-of-the-art Sports Training Facility is coming up at Koilwar (40 km west of Patna), with world-class indoor and outdoor sports infrastructure, endurance centre, labs, housing, and more.

Following a competitive process involving six leading architecture firms, the final jury—comprising senior architects and a sports administrator—awarded the project to Abin Design Studio, Kolkata, with Hundredhands, Bengaluru as runners-up. The process was coordinated by Studio Matter, Goa.

Congratulations to Abin Design Studio for being selected to design this landmark campus, expected to be functional by October 2027 and operated by the newly formed Takshila Sports Foundation.

Takshila Education Centre

The Takshila Centre for Politics, Economics and Society is an upcoming initiative dedicated to advancing research and practice in social development. Scheduled to open in 2026, the Centre will house archival resources of Takshila, a public library, in-house guest accommodation, and a versatile multi-purpose hall for lectures, seminars, and events. Conceived as a vibrant space for learning, dialogue, and collaboration, it aims to bring together scholars, practitioners, and communities to explore and address the complex challenges of politics, economics, and society.

Takshila Art Collection

To advance its arts-focused mission, Takshila has been building a varied and growing body of Indian art since 2014, encompassing multiple genres, styles, and periods. The collection currently holds more than 3,500 works, including paintings, drawings, graphic art, photographs, ceramics, sculptures, and installations, drawn from both Contemporary Art and Folk and Indigenous traditions.

Bringing together works by renowned masters and impactful emerging artists, the Takshila Art Collection reflects the diversity of India’s creative expressions, from contemporary practice to indigenous forms. Selections are exhibited year-round at Arthshila in Ahmedabad, Santiniketan, New Delhi, Patna, and Goa, affirming Takshila’s belief that art is vital to a meaningful life and should be accessible to everyone.
